Programs

At Animal Behavior Center, we specialize in dog behavior modification, utilizing a science-based approach tailored to each dog's unique needs.

  • Address issues with dog anxiety, leash reactivity, aggression rehabilitation, or nuissance behaviors such as excessive barking, jumping, mouthiness, marking, destructive behaviors, etc.)

    1. Obedience Through Play

      This course focuses on managing drive and teaching obedience through playful interactions with structured increased and decreased play

    2. Leash Manners & Work for Food.

      Overcome problems with the leash, develop a calmer state of mind, and learn obedience by understanding how dogs learn

    3. Optional off leash training with TENS remote training collar. Incorporate the TENS (not shock) remote collar in a playful, non-aversive way to earn complete liberty from the leash. This course is perfect for confidence building, distraction management, and reliable off leash obedience.

    1. Private Puppy Lessons

      Work one-on-one with a trainer to focus on specific puppy training needs. Obedience with puppy training is very foundational and introductory.

    2. Group Puppy Class

      Attend a group class for puppy training learning foundational and introductory obedience. This class includes puppy social time.

    3. Group puppy socials

      Join our puppy socials to play with other similiar-aged puppies of any breed and size. Puppy socials are for dogs who are under 6 months old.

  • Rally, Agility, Scent Work, Tracking, Disc/Frisbee

  • Earn CGC titles by successfully passing the testing criteria for each level of AKC Canine Good Citizen. CGC, CGCA, CGCU

  • Earn the ATT title by testing in an obsticle course designed to test your dog's ability to ignore distractions and respond neutrally to surprises, strangers and loud noises.

  • Designed for dog and handler partners who plan on volunteering at schools, hospitals, assisted care facilities, etc. This course does not qualify a pet to have full public access or service dog status

  • Psychiatric Support and Autism Support. Please provide a doctor's note stating the need for a service dog prior to setting up a consultation. Consultation and preliminary dog temperament testing is required to qualify.

    1. Dog Socials

      A dedicated play event for dogs over 6 months old.

    2. PEMF Treatment

      A Pulsed Electromagnetic Field treatment for your dog provided by a certified practitioner. Helpful in relieving or identifying pain and recovering from strenuous sport activity.

Clinics

Led by our team of expert trainers, our clinics provide the guidance and support you need to build a stronger, more harmonious relationship with your canine companion. Clinics can be hosted at our place or your pet services facility.

  • Earn your certification for Pet CPR and First Aid. Great for pet sitters, groomers, dog walkers, kennel techs, and veterinary workers. This course offers a completition certificate from PetTech that is valid for 1 year

  • Learn games and participate in discussion related to a dog's state of mind and how to encourage calmness, avoid overstimulation, and how to redirect behaviors that tend to cause anxiety, reactivity, and other behavior problems.

  • Understand how to pick social groups for different dog personalities and foster a healthy play environment in large group dog environments. This program is perfect for kennel techs, dog day care staff, rescue organizations, and pet sitters

  • This clinic is designed to help your dog services staff maintain a quiet kennel in a large kenneling environment. The goal is to help rescues find more success with dog adoptions by having a calmer and quieter environment in the kennel space.

Seminars

Our seminars are interactive sessions where participants gain practical skills & insights to strengthen the bond with their pups to create a relationship that stands the test of time. Seminars can be hosted at our place or your pet services facility.

  • We discuss everything a new puppy or dog owner should know, including potty training tips and advice, typical puppy and adult dog health issues, how to read a dog food label, pet responsibility and care, understanding socialization and more.

  • Perfect for presentations at schools, safety events, rescue organizations, etc. We teach the audience how to introduce yourself to a new dog and everything to know about dog behavior to keep pet interactions safe no matter what age.

    1. Grooming, veterinary and personal care handling skills

    2. Muzzle conditioning for training or grooming and veterinary handling applications.

    3. Baby Prep, get ready to introduce your dog to a new born baby and overcome the challenges that come with a household of dogs and baby together

    4. Crate Training, learn the benefits of crate training, how to overcome crate training challenges, and how to properly introduce a puppy or adult dog to a crate

  • This two day seminar is designed for active dog training professionals who need support and professional development in understanding aggression rehabilitation. We discuss training techniques using modern scientific understanding of dog psychology and provide working spots with problem dogs under the supervision with our training director.

  • For a pet parent or anyone else interested in how animal training works from the psychological level. Understand how these methods unlock animal behavior learning and conditioning for new skills or to discourage unwanted behaviors.

  • A month-long in depth course with hands on working spots to prepare a dog training professional. ABC reserves the right to decline an application or fail an applicant apprenticeship. To qualify, submit an application, attend an interview, and complete preliminary course work.

Virtual Programs
